As a seller on Vinterior, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when advertising and selling goods on Vinterior.

Any endangered species of fauna or flora, listed under Annex A of CITES, requires an Article 10 certificate to be legally offered for sale, sold, or displayed for commercial purposes. This includes some types of rosewood, such as Dalbergia nigra (Brazilian Rosewood), and ivory.

To find out which species are under Annex A, you can search on Species+.

Getting an Article 10 certificate

You must obtain a valid Article 10 certificate before offering for sale an endangered species of fauna or flora, listed under annex A of CITES.

You can learn how to apply for a CITES Article 10 certificate and the associated costs here.

Please note that we cannot offer legal advice, identify types of rosewood, or assist in filling out Article 10 certificates.

Displaying your Article 10 certificate

Please add a picture of your Article 10 certificate as an image or include the certificate number in the item description.

A note on Rosewood

As there are quite a few species of endangered rosewood, you must specify the type of rosewood that your item is made from. If your item is made from a type of rosewood not listed under Annex A, that type needs to be stated, so that it’s clear that a certificate isn’t needed.
