You've placed your order, and the seller has up to 72 hours to confirm it. Here's what to expect during that window, and what to do if you'd rather not wait.
Your card hasn't been charged yet
When you place an order on Vinterior, we reserve the funds on your card (an "authorisation") but don't actually take them. The charge only goes through once the seller confirms.
If they don't confirm in time, we'll automatically cancel your order, and the hold will drop off your card. You may not see a refund line on your statement, you'll just see the reserved amount disappear.
The seller has 72 hours from the moment you ordered
That's 72 hours straight, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The clock doesn't pause.
In that window, the seller is checking the item is still available and arranging delivery. Most use the time well, even if it looks quiet on your end.
If the seller doesn't confirm in time
The order is automatically cancelled and the hold on your card is released. We'll email you to let you know. There's nothing for you to do.
Can I message the seller while I wait?
Yes. If you'd like a delivery update or have a question:
Log in to your Vinterior account
Go to My Orders and open the relevant order
Click Contact Seller or See Thread
Please send messages through the platform rather than replying to the email notification, that way the seller sees them in their Vinterior inbox.
Want Vinterior to step in?
Any time. If you're on a deadline, worried about the silence, or want help thinking it through, reach us via the chat in the corner of any Vinterior page, or email [email protected]. We can chase the seller, give you context, or talk you through your options.
What if it auto-cancels and I still want the piece?
Sellers occasionally miss the window for simple reasons (away from the inbox, a courier delay) and the item is still available. We can usually reinstate the order quickly if this happens. See My order was automatically cancelled? for the steps.
