At Vinterior, we have an auto-put-on-hold tool to help to reduce cancellations on Vinterior. This article goes through how the tool works and how you can set your item back as available if it is put on hold.
Cancellation facts
Cancellations are orders which are cancelled after a purchase, most often by the seller. The most common cancellation reason is that the item is no longer available for sale.
How our auto-put-on-hold tool works
Once a listing has reached 1 month old on the platform, we will automatically put it on hold and send you an email notification.
You will then need to review the listing and release your item on your listings page if it is still available.
This process will repeat every month.
Listings may also be placed on hold if their availability is not confirmed after receiving a confirmation email from Vinterior. This ensures that only available items are listed for sale.
If an item is unmarked as sold, it may be temporarily placed on hold to verify its availability, helping to avoid potential cancellations.
How to set your item back as available
Log in to your Vinterior account.
Navigate to the My Account section from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
Go to the Manage Account tab.
Open your Dashboard (located in the top-right corner).
Select the Listings section.
Locate the listing that is on hold and click the padlock icon next to it to release the hold.

Additional Scenarios for Listings Being Placed on Hold
Listings may also be placed on hold for reasons beyond the automated monthly system, such as unconfirmed availability or verification after unmarking as sold. These measures are designed to ensure that only available items are listed, reducing the risk of cancellations and improving buyer satisfaction.
There's nothing more disappointing as a buyer than having your order cancelled after you've made a purchase. With this tool, we hope to reduce the chance of this happening whilst also increasing the number of successful sales for our sellers.
Please note that this tool is not a replacement for keeping your inventory up-to-date, but a backup to help support you in doing so.
